So, Victoria Beckham knows what she’s good at and what she’s not good at! That’s what she’s telling readers of October 2009’s issue of Elle Magazine. But does she really know? This woman has attempted to gain attention in just about every field imaginable that requires a certain amount of talent and has failed at just about all of them.

Posh Spice was a member of the girl band, The Spice Girls, and based on that she had delusions that she could achieve a solo singing career, but after several badly received singles, she gave up.

Then came Mrs Beckham’s entry into the world of cat walk modeling. Again, that career path was short lived.

With the field narrowing for the wife of football ace, David Beckham, to gain worldwide attention based on her own merit and not that of David, her next venture was into the world of fashion design. And you guessed it, once again, that was short lived with her denim collection being removed from the shelves of several major outlets including Saks, Kitson and Bendels and eventually the high-end Los Angeles boutique, Maxfield.

But, with her never fading pout and her trade mark oversized sunglasses the mother of three just about manages to keep herself in the public eye with photo shoots for cookie cutter women’s magazines, giving interviews that focus totally on her and attempting to persuade the reading public that she’s the very normal ‘girl next door’ who just wants to dash home to her family after doing whatever it is she ‘knows she’s good at!’

On the inside pages of Elle magazine 35 year old Beckham explains how she sees herself, ‘I do have my insecurities. Maybe that is why I look a little bit serious. The kind of person who’s going to stand on the red carpet and love the attention and have the big grin - I’m just not like that’.

Speaking about her marriage to David she says, ‘’David and I have a working relationship together, and we also have a private life together. Someone used the example recently of Brad and Angelina (who is she kidding???). They might be in a movie together, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to let someone film them at home. I don’t do ‘at homes’ with my family. I don’t march my kids down red carpets. It’s just not how we choose to do things.’ And she added, ‘I know my boundaries - I know what I am good at and what I’m not good at.’
