Remember last year when Miss Hilton poured her heart out to Larry King and swore that she would make up for her time behind bars?

Well it looks like the socialite has kept her humanitarian promise; as she recently donated an “extremely generous” amount of dough to aid the construction of a 460,000-sq.-ft. Childrens Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at the Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles.

According to pediatric officials, the impressive unit is believed to be completed by 2010.

Hilton is familiar with the facility because she actually became a volunteer directly after serving 23 days in the ‘clink.’ What’s more, every last dime accumulated from the August unveiling of her eponymous clothing line at West Hollywood’s Kitson boutique went towards the youngsters.

“The children I have met through my involvement with Childrens Hospital have truly touched my heart,” the Associated Press quoted Paris as saying. “I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses.”

During her interview on Larry King Live, Hilton said she would like “to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.” One down, two to go!
