“Old Kids On The Block”
What’s up with boy-bands thinking they can pull off successful comebacks? Last year The Backstreet Boys tried to weasel their way into our stereos, and now New Kids On The Block assume they can do the same. News flash guys – receding hairlines and wrinkles are not sexy!
People.com reports that after 14 years of separation, the Kids have officially regrouped and have already accomplished the release of a new tune.
But what exactly have the boys been up to over the last decade? Let’s take a little tour…
- Joey McIntyre (35) and Donnie Wahlberg (38) both dipped into acting; while McIntyre gained further success by recording 4 solo albums.
- Danny Wood (38) and Jordan Knight (37) have also tried their hand at solo careers, and of course who could forget Knight’s contribution to season 3 of The Surreal Life.
- The grandpa of the group, Jonathan Knight, is a real estate developer who will be turning 40 later this year.
Um…do they not realize their target audience is like 12? It’s time to move on guys, let it go.
The one thing they have managed to retain is their pubescent voices; although their new unnamed single leaves something to be desired.
Judge the spankin’ new ballad for yourself on the band’s official website – www.nkotb.com and let us know what you think!
