Jessica ‘Real Girls Eat Meat’ Simpson finally laid rumors to rest that she broke things off with BF Tony Romo during a taping of ABC’s The View on Wednesday.

People.com stated that the singer was invited onto the show to premiere her country-crossover track “Come on Over,” a hit off her twangy forthcoming album Do You Know, due out later this year.

Although Simpson claims that she and Romo are very much in love, her response to Barbara Walters’ inquisition sounded pretty uninspired.

“We have been together for seven months now,” she said. “I don’t know about wedding bells, but I still love him and I’m still with him, so that’s a good sign.” Gee, don’t all jump up at once!

Dallas fanatics get ready to cringe, for at one point in the interview Jessica revealed that when football starts up again she is planning to cheer her man on… in person.

“When the season comes around, I’m definitely going to be at the games,” she affirmed. Simpson better grab a hardhat and goggles then, as every Cowboys fan on the planet will want to chuck beer cans and hot dogs at her head.
