During an interview on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Wednesday morning, the country bumpkin let slip the inspiration behind her newest single “7 Things”: an ex BF!

Though Miley refused to rat out her muse, she suspects the he may step forward on his own once the music video is released, “because it’s pretty honest…even more honest than my song,” she said.

“I want them to be upset,” the singer/actress wholeheartedly declared. “That was my point. I was a little worried, but I’m excited that I just did it.”

Perhaps the tune, which rolls through a list of reasons why she hates said boy, was targeting the young man who posed for those infamous snapshots that were brought to our attention in April??
