There are several ways of looking at the latest photos of Miley Cyrus which have found their way onto the Internet ahead of the publication of this May’s issue of Vanity Fair magazine, for which they were taken. Firstly, they are not, as billed, pornographic, sexual or even naked or nude, they are just a child star making the transition from teen to adult in the world of Hollywood.

For the past couple of years Miley has portrayed the sweet little Hannah Montana character that every little girl wants to emulate and aspire to. But just how long can the 15 year old Cyrus keep that image in the spotlight. Not much longer one would assume. After all, who wants to see a 25 year old Hannah Montana?

Apart from her days as a child star being limited, she hasn’t been gifted with the looks of a young Brooke Shield who appeared in The Blue Lagoon at the age of 15, so maybe she feels she has to ‘make hey while the sun shines‘.

Then there’s the clever marketing strategy of her Hillbilly father Billy Ray Cyrus who obviously consented to the photo shoot and is manipulating his ‘golden goose’ in an effort to ensure she carries on laying the golden eggs far past her teenage years.

So, with a few, less than compromising or promiscuous photos Miley has now moved herself into the world of ‘grown up Hollywood‘, so attracting a wider audience, a more mature audience and in all probability the attention of movie producers who are looking for a new face of risqué!

Miley has said she is ‘so embarrassed’ by the photos but the feelings of embarrassment Miley should be experiencing from the photo shoot with Anna Leibovitz of Vanity Fair, aren’t so much the suggestion that she’s naked or that they are pornographic, but more the quality of the photos. She has been portrayed as a starving waif caught up in Thailand’s child porn industry, than the healthy, happy teenager we all know. She’s been given a look that would appeal more to pedophiles than fans or admirers.

With all that aside, we’ll now see the movie roles come steaming in for Miley, more magazine photo shoots, chat show appearances and paparazzi frenzies everywhere she goes. Clever or what?

After comparing Miley’s squeaky clean life style with the train wreck lives of Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears we can now see that she has all the potential for being just as controversial as her peers.

This could sound the end of her career at Disney, but our guess is you’ll soon see her popping up in some X rated movie such as, ‘Miley Does Montana’.

But all is not lost in the squeaky clean teen stars stakes though, we can still look to Dakota Fanning, Abigail Breslin and Saoirse Ronan to renew our faith in a generation of young, clean living, fullyu clothed celebs! At least for now!
