She may be 11 years old, and he may have been just 3 years old, but will Paris Katherine Jackson now go down in history in much the same way as John F Kennedy Jr,?

Remember that now iconic emotional moment when John Jr. stepped forward at his father John F Kennedy’s funeral and rendered a final salute to the flag-draped casket that bore his father’s body just as Paris also stepped forward, took control of the microphone in a packed Staples Stadium and announced to the world, “I just wanted to say, ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can imagine. I just wanted to say I love him so much.”

In the 1960’s, television was the primary source by which people were kept informed of high profile events such as funerals of the rich and famous, and rocket launches. In 2009, TV was just one medium which relayed the true grief and sorrow of one little girl who didn’t view Michael Jackson with the tainted eyes of the media, public and law officials. She, on the other hand, solely viewed him as the man she’d cherished for 11 years as the daughter of The King of Pop, and who she’ll now mourn and miss for the rest of her life.

All we hope now is that the remainder of the Jackson clan {Janet Jackson, La Toya Jackson, Jermaine Jackson and the other siblings) don’t turn to Paris now, as they did with Michael, as their cash cow with her pretty looks, her famous parentage and the unlimited possibilities. The very public display of this delicate little daughter of the Man in the Mirror dramatically touched the hearts of millions when she bid a tearful farewell to her father at his memorial service in a rare public appearance.
