‘Before you judge me, try to love me’. That was the request that came from the bottom of the heart of Michael Jackson in his autobiographical song ‘Childhood’. Maybe if the world now listens to those words and takes that as his message to everyone who knew him, thought they knew him and still wish they had known him, he will finally be understood.

Although Michael only physically died last Thursday, he had passed away in reality many years ago, from his broken dreams of a normal childhood, to the constant press intrusion in his life and the accusations of inappropriate beahviour with children, but nothing tells of Jackson’s torturous life more than the words of Childhood.

Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for
Shadow drops from My past
‘Cause I’ve been looking around
within the lost and found
of my broken heart…
No one understands me
they view me as such strange peculiarity…
‘Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, without much thought
I just keep running away
People say I’m not okay
‘Cause I love such simple things…
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I’ve never known…
Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for that hypothesize of my youth
like a bandit in daring thoughts,
of relent and misguided dreams of ?
it would seem …
Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
have you seen my Childhood?
People say I’m strange that way
‘Cause I love such straightforward things,
It’s been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I’ve never known…
Have you seen my Childhood?
I’m searching for Shadow Drops from my youth
like fantastical stories to share
the dreams I would dare,
watch me fly…
Before you judge me,
try hard to love me.
The painful youth I’ve had
have you seen my Childhood????
