It was a week of public outbursts, all the way from the floor of Congress where Barack Obama was heckled by the South Carolina Republican Senator Joe Wilson during the President’s speech to a joint session of Congress, which paled into insignificance by comparison, to the irreverent, ignorant outburst by Kanye West as witnessed by the audience at the MTV Video Music Awards last night.

As country singer Taylor Swift stepped up to receive her well-earned award for the Best Music Video of the year and began her speech. The black rapper took to the stage in his usual, arrogant, total jerk style and swiped the mic out of Taylor’s hands and began his rant relaying who he thought should have won the award.
And surprise, surprise, the black rapper sang the praises of another black singer, Beyonce, proclaiming that in his opinion the Dreamgirls star should have been up there receiving the award.
If this had happened in the reverse, would we not have heard Al Sharpton sounding off on his own racist soap box?
But this isn’t the first time West has reared his ugly head in protest of an award winner, when in his egocentric opinion, it should have been him.

In 2004, the talentless Hip Hop singer walked out of the American Music awards ceremony claiming there was a conspiracy against him insinuating that he was “robbed” when country singer Gretchen Wilson won Best New Artist instead of him. “I was the best artist of the year,” he told reporters.

Then again, in 2005, West definitely brought racism into the mix when West went off-script live on NBC during a Hurricane Katrina benefit concert to tell America “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”
The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards saw the uneducated rapper becoming vocal when he had to perform from the Palms’ Hugh Hefner Sky Villa instead of the main stage. That year, he walked away empty-handed after receiving five nominations, and reportedly yelled, “That’s two years in a row, man … I’m trying hard, man, I have the number one record, man.”
Then came 2008, when the evil man of rap had the audacity to compare himself to Princess Diana following his arrest and altercation with a photographer. Now in 2009, we once again see West making a complete uniformed, racist, big mouthed &i@*e# of himself while stealing the mic from the hands of a well-deserved winner in order to express his opinion.
Where are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton now?
