The once loved-up couple who has spent every waking minute together since mid-May is officially done, kaput, fini.

“There was no drama or ugliness - they just decided to end things,” a source close to the couple exclusively relayed to Usmagazine.com. “There is no hatred, just sadness.”

What happened??

Lance and Kate’s whirlwind romance had the look of a long term, stable relationship. They gave us something to smile about with their fun-in-the-sun cutesy tennis matches & meet-the-family jamborees.

And the stars showed no signs of slowing down until this past weekend, during the cyclist’ three-day ‘Lance Armstrong Livestrong Summit’ in Columbus, Ohio. The aforementioned insider claims that the “no drama” breakup occurred at said conference, though it isn’t clear why they opted to go their separate ways.

Perhaps Kate realized she was still in love with Owen Wilson, and Lance realized he wanted a second helping of Mary Kate Olsen!
