She may be crazy, she may be bald but after all isn’t it her prerogative? Britney Spears may have turned into a chain smoking, drunk single mom in the middle of a custody battle but is it possible to deny that she is still capable of producing the same hits that she used to? Two new songs have made their way onto the web and we have to say there are pretty amazing. This is not a drill Y’all - Britney is BACK and better than ever!
The first single to leak is of course the much anticipated “Gimmie More”. Reminiscent of Hillary Duff, Madonna and the Brit Brit of yesteryear, this is the song that will have you ready to jump off a ledge in three months because it will be the most overplayed single of the year leaving “Umbrella” in the dust. Finally Britney has done something respectable and it almost forces you to forgive her for leaving the house in those hideous outfits and smoking in Sean Preston’s cute little face. Maybe the reason that we were so mad at Britney Spears to begin with was just because we missed her so much.
OK, maybe we’re just on a new Britney single high or perhaps we are twice as insane because to our surprise we discovered another Britney track! “Cold As Fire” is that same song that you have heard Britney pumping in her car while driving away paparazzi and now you can too - minus the photogs of course. It seems a little like 80’s Madonna with a very bubblegum-sexual feel. All in all a great single that will grow on you!
To all the Britney haters: You may hate on her for wearing shirts as dresses, dropping her eldest son or letting her baby drive the family car but the one thing that you can’t take away from the fallen pop princess is her music. More great songs are sure to follow on Britney’s yet to be titled album that will turn out to be the most important of her career. Finally! We have a few nice words about someone who has been nothing but publicly attacked for her lifestyle over the past three years. Keep up the good work Brit Brit and much more acclaim will follow.

cold as fire reminds me of that song that goes “oompa loompa doopatee doo” from charlie and the chocolate factory lol The other song is great
