Emma Watson: Back to School

Posted under Free for All & Emma Watson

Emma Watson, the underage hottie who plays Hermione Granger in the everlasting “Harry Potter” series, will finally play another role… as yet another school girl. Damn, this gal must really like those uniforms.

Watson will play the part of orphaned Pauline Fossil in the BBC’s adaptation of Noel Streatfield’s novel Ballet Shoes.

“I think the books are really special and could not let such an amazing project go. I loved Pauline from the start,” she said on her website, according to Daily Mail.

The film is set in London in the 1930s and tells the prolific story of Pauline and her two sisters who are adopted by an explorer played by Richard Griffiths. Yeah, that sounds about right for British television, or perhaps even a Lifetime movie.

Let the records show, though, that her “Harry Potter” co-stars have long left their studious garb back at Hogwarts. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry himself), 18, and Rupert Grint (Harry’s trusty partner in crime), 19, both have abandoned their studies to pursue acting. Not too long ago, Radcliffe was spotted doing nude scenes on stage in London…talk about taking your career to the next level.

You will not be seeing Watson doing nude scenes any time soon; rumor has it that Chanel is considering her to be the new “it” girl for their company, while the modeling agency Storm was ever so quick to snatch her up.

Heck, last month she was even unveiled as the cover girl for the UK magazine Tatler.

Despite being worth a reported £10 million and one of the UK’s most famous teenagers, the level-headed star harbors ambitions to study at Oxford University when she leaves school, says The Daily Mail.

Looks like the role of braniac Hermione wasn’t much of a stretch!
