George Clooney and Brad Pitt- never a disappointment

Posted under Free for All & Brad Pitt & George Clooney

George Clooney and Brad Pitt took a break from publicizing their movie, “Burn After Reading,” at the Venice Film Festival to publicize another cause: Clooney’s Not On Our Watch charity.

The organization has raised more than $7 million to help victims both of the humanitarian crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan and the cyclone in Myanmar, according to executive director Alex Wagner.

The charity has famous roots and it’s definitely growing quickly. It was started last year by Clooney, Brad Pitt and some of their “Ocean’s Thirteen” colleagues, as a way to use their celebrity appeal to bring attention read more ....

Democratic Convention is Hip (Hop) with Wolf Blitzer!

Posted under Free for All & John Legend & John Stewart & wolf blitzer & danny glover & cyndi lauper

With John Legend performing at the Democratic Convention this week, and John Stewart hosting it, it seems like it’s actually a hip, fun place to be, as opposed to a place with a lot of politics and stuffed shirts. Oh yah, we’re sure there are some of those there too, but what seem to be making headlines are the stars presiding over the event.

And it seems they’re well-liked by the people who are actually “supposed” to be there - Wolf Blitzer promised to continue to interrupt the network’s reporting or analysis for musical acts as good as Legend.

Diddy Has Gun Pulled on his Entourage

Posted under Free for All & Diddy

No, we’re not talking about a special guest-star appearance on Adrian Grener’s show - although we would love to see a cameo performance by Diddy on Entourage - this is the real deal.

A sheriff’s deputy apparently pulled a gun on members of Diddy’s crew during a routine traffic stop over the weekend, but - according to the singer’s spokesperson, everything was taken care of quickly and the deputy was professional and respectful.

Diddy was traveling down Sunset Boulevard as part of a seven-car convoy - because really, what rapper doesn’t travel that way! - when the deputy pulled over read more ....

Wham! Bam Goodbye Man! George Michael Bows Out!

Posted under Free for All & The Rolling Stones & George Michael & The Beatles

After leaving the pink gloves, the fluorescent green shorts and the blonde streaked hair of the 1980’s in the dim and distant past, this weekend also saw the end of the George Michael we have come to know and love in the past 2 decades. The George Michael of the tailored suits, dark glasses and designer stubble will be seen no more on stage.

After a total of 25 years in the music business, George has finally hung up his tinted glasses and sharp suits in favour of a quieter life that will see him writing songs and relaxing with read more ....

Barack Obama vs John McCain

Posted under Free for All & Barack Obama & John McCain

 change.jpg

With a slogan telling the American people that he is the candidate with the experience to offer “change’ if elected as the 44th president of the United States, maybe Barack Obama’s vision of ‘change’ needs to be better scrutinized.

Candidate/Experience                     Congress        Military

John McCain                                  26 Years       22 Years

Barack Obama                             143 days       0    Years

Just iamgine how great a professional of any kind could be produced with only 143 days of experience. If the American people want change so badly maybe they should lower the experience requirement for doctors, teachers, dentists, airline pilots, etc. This would certainly read more ....

Britney Spears’s VMA Performance Shut-out

Posted under Free for All & Britney Spears & Ryan Seacrest

I speculated about it, and I’m sure a lot of you - like me - we’re hoping for it, but it looks like we won’t be seeing a much-anticipated comeback from Britney Spears. At least not at the VMAs this year.

Maybe - given last year’s performance - no one was willing to risk her doing it all over again, maybe she feels she’s just not ready. Whatever the reason, it has been confirmed by Ryan Seacrest that Miss Brit won’t be on stage for the MTV awards show.

Of course, this could be good news, too, meaning that the read more ....

Of Course David Beckham had to be Part of the Olympics

Posted under Free for All & David Beckham & Leona Lewis & jimmy page

We’ve seen David Beckham making appearances at different Olympic events, but we suppose it was only a matter of time before they brought him on to be an official part of the program. Not that we’re complaining - we’re happy to see his super-star self, whatever the reason!

But his participation did make sense, though, as the honor of hosting the summer Olylmpics was handed to London for the 2012 games.

He wasn’t on hand to do much more than put his soccer skills to use (oh yah, and no doubt be eye candy …) as he kicked the ball read more ....

Is Avril Lavigne Sexy or Not? Make Your Mind Up Malaysia!

Posted under Free for All & Gwen Stefani & Avril Lavigne & pussycat dolls

avril lavigne.jpg

After being banned from appearing in the predominantly Muslim country of Malaysia for reportedly being ‘too sexy’ Avril Lavigne has now been reprieved.

The poor girl must be in an awful whirl as to just whether or not she’s sexy!

Canadian singer Avril Lavigne’s concert promoters were told to postpone the up coming concert in Malaysia amid reports that she was considered too risqué by the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party.

But now the Islamic Party have rescinded their decision and the concert, in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, was given the go-ahead after the promoter, Galaxy Group, assured officials that the read more ....

Bringing Hugh Hefner’s House Down!

Posted under Free for All & Rumer Willis & Hugh Hefner & anna feris & katherine mcphee

the house bunny.jpg

If this is the route that Hugh Hefner sees his famous Playboy brand taking in the future he should seriously rethink his marketing advisors!

Prior to this weekend, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants held the bench mark for the worst movie of all time, but now, after seeing House Bunny, Sisterhood can safely see itself entering Little Gold Statue status. We’re all for animal rights, but this is truly one bunny that should feel the busy end of a shot gun as soon as possible!

Our advice is, if you’re given the choice of staying at home and read more ....

Cindy McCain: Does She Measure Up?

Posted under Free for All & Barack Obama & Anderson Cooper & John McCain & Cindy mccain

 john.jpg

Sorry Joe, Cindy had to dash off!

After receiving the news that Barack Obama had selected Joe Biden as his running mate for the 2008 Presidential elections, magnanimously, John Mcain and wife Cindy made a brief phone call to Biden congratulating him.

JOHN AND CINDY.jpg

It had to be a brief phone call because following that tasty piece of news Cindy McCain felt so sure that her position as the next United States First lady had been secured, she just had to dash off quickly to The White House to measure up for soft furnishings!

And what’s Anderson Cooper doing in the this read more ....
