It Might be Awkward Around the Dinner Table, but Streisand Deserves Award

Barbra Streisand will be the last star to be honored at the Kennedy Center - which includes a reception at the White House - during George W Bush’s Presidency. This could cause an awkward situation, given Streisand’s noted, outspoken Democratic stance.

And as if that weren’t enough, their potential meeting comes less than two months after Streisand’s stepson, Josh Brolin, hits theaters playing Bush in the Oliver Stone-directed biopic “W.”

Other honorees announced Tuesday include Morgan Freeman, country singer George Jones, choreographer Twyla Tharp and musicians Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey of The Who. The awards are presented the night before read more ....

Jay Z Snubbed by the Brits!!!

Changing a tried and tested formula has proved the undoing of the not only much loved, and usually well attended, Glastonbury Festival, with American rapper, and husband of Dreamgirls star Beyonce, Jay Z, heading the bill, but it has also caused other celebrities to think twice about attending.

Madonna had made plans to make Glastonbury the premiere of her documentary I Am Because We Are to be held at a summer music festival, after tickets for the event failed to sell.
