England’s ace footballer David Beckham, may have had cause for celebration last night following their 3-0 win over Belarus, but there’s little room for merrymaking in other areas of beck’s life as he was voted one of America’s biggest sporting flops by U.S. based Maxim magazine. The publication described his £125 million move to Los Angeles as nothing short of a ‘catastrophe’. Not content to call him a ‘flop’ and ‘catastrophe’, the magazine went on to say that the former Manchester United star has failed miserably in his bid to make football more attractive to fans across the Atlantic.

Victoria Beckham certainly knows how to endear herself to people as she challenges her new boss, Simon Cowell as to why he didn‘t grasp the opportunity to sign The Spice Girls to his record label back in the 1990‘s and in so doing missed out on the most successful girl band of all time.

She may no longer be a rising star, but she certainly showed something was still rising in her life as Geri Halliwell arrived at the 2009 Cartier International Polo Day, which was attended by a whole host of other celebs who did manage to keep from having wardrobe malfunctions.
