Remeber the joys that SPEEDRACER used to bring you as a little kid? Welp, if you missed it the first time around (in the 60s, duh), don’t fret! The creators of the Matrix (Andy and Larry Wachowski) are bringing the anime cult-classic to life in ‘08!Â

The film is set to star Susan Sarandon, Christina Ricci, Matthew Fox, and Emile Hirsch as the speed-demon himself.

Honestly, it sounds like a good idea until the box office results come in and they’ll realize it was a sink…just like the Titanic.

Look! No Footprints

For someone who is renowned for chartering private planes and has been accused of having a larger carbon footprint than the entire fleet of Virgin Atlantic planes, Michael Jackson is now rumored to be leaving no footprints at all as he heaves his sorry backside into his latest toy, a $20,000 Toyota Pirus car.

Jackson, 49, was seen leaving Beverly Hills’ Sharper Image electrical shop before climbing into the back seat of his super-green vehicle on Friday, and logic tells me that if he was climbing into the back, he probably wasn’t driving, and therefore is also read more ....

Director John Turturro has come up with wacky ideas for films in the past, so we can just chalk this one up to “originality.“

Romance & Cigarettes is set to music by power icons such as James Brown and Bruce Springsteen, and stars some of the biggest names in Hollywood. The list includes Kate Winslet, Mary Louise Parker, James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, and Mandy Moore, just to name a few.

Our bet is this is the next cult classic.
