The evil right-wing witch known as Elisabeth Hasselbeck will not be clogging up the airwaves with her Bush messages of hate.
Well, at least for awhile.

The co-host of ABC’s The View will go on maternity leave in November, a press release stated Saturday. She will leave the popular New York-based daytime talk show beginning Nov. 8 or Nov. 9, spokesman Karl Nilsson confirmed.

Various celebrity guests will fill in for her while she is on leave, he said.

Actress Sherri Shepherd, who has served as guest co-host on ABC’s The View on multiple occasions, will fill a permanent seat on the daytime talk show starting next week.

Shepherd will join new co-host Whoopi Goldberg along with Barbara Walters, Joy Behar and Elisabitch Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Walters announced yesterday that a formal announcement would come next week on the talk program; but sources at ABC Television leaked the information to the Associated Press in advance of the on air announcement.

Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)” could have been Rosie ODonnell’s anthem this past weekend. While vacationing with her partner Kelli Carpenter in South Beach, Florida, the former “View” co-host got into a spat with a biker! (We guess after rumbling with Donald Trump Ms. ODonnell got a little cocky.) After an early dinner on Saturday afternoon, the women returned to their vehicle to find a Harley Davidson parked too-close-for-comfort.
