Not wanting to jump the gun, since we’ve seen Britney Spears shopping for ‘Plan B’ pregnancy testing kits and many other contrived� publicity stunt in the past, but today the young troubled Miss Spears was spotted perusing the rails of wedding dresses in a store in Los Angeles.

The 26 year old Toxic singer visited Monique Lhuillier, a designer bridal-gown boutique on Melrose Avenue, before visiting shops Betsey Johnson and Fred Segal.

It looks like Jamie� Spears has finally put his foot down and cut all of Britney’s ties to the outside world! In a move that was way over due, the concerned father has moved into the mansion and taken full control of the pop-tart’s (yes, daughter Britney Spears)� life and affairs. This weekend celebrities seemed to have lost their damn minds and we were blogging every moment of it.

Unless you were living under a rock…Britneygate 2008 was certainly the most insane happening. It not only made the cover of every paper but left the entire public in awe of our favorite pop wreck. Not even the most avid Britney Spears watchers saw this coming.

Jamie Lynn Spears wants people to stop saying mean things about her mommy. The pregnant 16-year-old told Ok! Magazine in an exclusive interview that despite her condition and the whacked out behavior of sister Britney Spears, her mom is actually a great parent.

Reporters for Ok! write: “Jamie Lynn loves her mom dearly,” a source close to the Spears family tells OK!. “She thinks Lynne has been a sensational mom and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Lynne never pushed Jamie Lynn into growing up too fast and never pushed her into working.”

It all started with the buzz cut heard round the world.

2007 in the world of Britney Spears wasn’t exactly a highlight. The ex-pop sensation just barely released her well-crafted album Blackout with no promotion and quickly dropping sales. Her divorce from K-fed was finally made official and she lost custody of her children.

Well you can be sure that Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby-daddy won’t be getting arrested for statutory rape. Despite reports, Casey Aldridge is only 18 — and that’s not illegal in Louisiana!

The couple also announced that despite the high school students pregnancy, the couple have no plans to wed.

“They may or may not [get married],” says Aldridge’s uncle, Odus Jackson.
