Funny man Steve Carell refuses to cross the picket lines of striking writers, says showbuzz…hence the shutdown of popular NBC sitcom The Office.

Greg Daniels, the executive producer of the show, told reporters that the last new episode will air next week. “It is among at least eight prime-time shows to stop shooting as of Wednesday because of the strike,” showbuzz spills. Daniels is among the 60 or so individuals protesting outside Disney studios in Burbank.
