Naomi Watts Knows How to do 40!

Posted under Free for All & Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts knows how to ring in a milestone birthday. Over the weekend, her husband Liev Shreiber threw Naomi an all out bash for her 40th birthday. What a sweet hubby! But that’s not all! He also presented her with a new Mercedes-Benz Bluetec, the luxury eco-friendly SUV that isn’t out until next month. Wow – swanky, soccer mom-y, AND eco-friendly. Oh, and with a hint of exclusivity, since the car isn’t even for sale yet!

The fun continued this week, as the pregnant mom headed off to dinner with friends in LA – but not before stopping off with read more ....

Another Day, Another Star Faces Jail Time: Mindy McCready

Posted under Free for All & Mindy McCready

Country star Mindy McCready will begin serving a 60-day jail sentence today, for violating probation on a drug-related charge.
Once she’s done with that time, Mindy has met all of her obligations under her probation sentence,” Attorney Lee Ofman revealed. “We worked very hard to get her a deal, so we didn’t have to have a probation violation.”

McCready - known for her albums “Ten Thousand Angels” and “If I Don’t Stay the Night” - was originally convicted of prescription drug fraud in 2004 and placed on parole. She’s already served time for another parole violation in 2007, and in read more ....

Heath Ledger’s Insurance Lawsuit May Not Pay Out for Matilda

Posted under Free for All & Heath Ledger & Michelle Williams & mark kate olsen

The insurance company under which Heath Ledger held a life insurance policy is being sued for not paying $10 million in benefits to his daughter, claiming the actor may have committed suicide. Police ruled the death of the 28-year-old star was accidental, from an overdose of painkillers and other medicines.

But lawyers for the ReliaStar insurance company, have claimed his death was suspicious and possibly a suicide, which would nullify the policy.

Ledger’s daughter with actress Michelle Williams, Matilda Rose, 3, was named as the beneficiary in the policy.

ReliaStar apparently wants  to investigate the possibility of suicide, but read more ....

World Mourns Paul Newman

Posted under Free for All & Paul Newman & nicolas sarkozy

Usually I feel that when someone famous dies, it’s no more sad than when someone who was not a household name passes away - family and friends have still lost a loved one. But for some reason I’ve taken Paul Newman’s death a little more seriously. I’m sure he wouldn’t say his life was worth more than anyone else’s yet he contributed so much to the world. I think he’s a truly great example of how those who have much to give can really make a difference.

A Newman spokesman said memorial services for the actor, who died on Friday read more ....

Another Celeb Mug Shot: Heather Locklear

Posted under Free for All & Heather Locklear & Richie Sambora & bon jovi

We’ve got one more mugshot to add to the celeb hall of shame. Heather Locklear was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance in Santa Barbara authorities said Sunday.

The 47-year-old complete mess was pulled over after a resident reported seeing the actress leaving a parking lot and “driving erratically,” patrol spokesman Tom Marshall said.

The officer noticed Locklear’s car was actually parked on a state highway and blocking a lane. “In talking with her, (the officer) determines that she seems to be under the influence of something,” Marshall said.

Locklear was taken to the read more ....

OJ Simpson: Tape For the Defense!

Posted under Free for All & OJ Simpson & judge judy & Johnny Cochran & nicole brown simpson & ronald goldman

Here’s a guy who would be better entering the legal profession rather than football or acting, given the amount of time OJ Simpson spend in court these days! OJ’s court appearances are steadily out numbering those of Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown and Judge Alex put together.

Simpson’s latest debacle sees him facing charges of robbery and kidnapping that could land him in prison for life if convicted.

But with a secret tape having been played to the jurors this week in which law enforcement officials can be heard laughing at the arrest of Simpson and the ridiculing of read more ....

Hayden Panettiere Wants You to Vote

Posted under Free for All & Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere cares less about who you vote for, and more that you simply get out and vote - at least that was the theme of her appearance at Declare Yourself, which she hosted. The event brought out names like Emily VanCamp, Zachary Quinto, and Danity Kane.

Hayden was all about rocking the vote -oops, wrong event, we mean DECLARING yourself - during her speech, though she was more low-key when asked who she’ll be casting her ballot for, saying “I’m a Democrat, so . . . “  Hmmm … cryptic …

So - declare yourself! Or, rock the read more ....

Shia LaBeouf Won’t Face charges

Posted under Free for All & Shia LaBeouf

Looks like Shia LaBeouf will be getting off relatively scot-free for the incident in which he crashed his car and injured his hand. He won’t be charged with drunken driving, but he could have his license suspended because sheriff’s officials said he refused a breathalyzer test.

Probably in large part because of this, there was “insufficient evidence” to charge LaBeouf with drunken driving, a Los Angeles County District Attorney spokeswoman said. “Shia is most happy that he will not have to go to court,” said his attorney, Michael Norris.

LaBeouf was arrested July 27 after an early morning crash that injured read more ....
