Okay, so men…listen up! If you’re over 30 and are still shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch, wearing track jackets, and trying to slip into that skinny jean, S-T-O-P! It’s not flattering…ya’ll aren’t getting any younger and well, just dress your age. Do not…I repeat, do NOT follow the “trends” of your favourite celebrity men.

One celebrity less-than-a hunk, David Spade, wears track jackets and jeans…probably even velcro sneaks…oh yeah, can’t forget the trucker hat.Â

Pucker Up and Pay Teri Hatcher!

Posted under Free for All & fashion & Teri Hatcher

teri_hatcher.jpg

Teri Hatcher makes her living as a desperate housewife but she was moonlighting on the side when she signed a deal with a cosmetic company. As the spokesperson for the skin care company Hydroderm she was paid $2.4 million to be the face of their campaign in 2005. Because a clause in her contract prohibited her to endorse any rival companies Hatcher will be doing some major lip service in court .

Hydroderm claims Hatcher has been linked to at least 17 other competitors’ products since sealing her deal with a kiss in 2005 - including City Cosmetic’s “The Lip read more ....

Good thing they had a costume change for their little number…

Roberto Cavalli: Red Carpet Fashion for All (If You’re Willing to Stampede)

Posted under Free for All & models & fashion & Kate Moss & Madonna & Jennifer Lopez & Sarah Jessica Parker & Beyonce & Vera Wang & Roberto Cavalli

cavalli_HandM.jpg

Roberto Cavalli has jumped into the fray. He joined up with H&M for the retailer’s most recent foray into upscale design for the masses - Cavalli joins Victor and Rolph, Madonna and others.

On a grand scheme, the idea of designers slumming with low-end stores (hey, we’re not complaining!!) started most successfully with Target. The retailer Goliath first recruited Isaac Mizrahi and has followed up with many more: Liz Lange, Hollywould, Mossimo, etc. The rest of the discount gang jumped on the bandwagon: Khol’s (Vera Wang), Steve and Barry’s (Sarah Jessica Parker), and UK’s TopShop (Kate Moss).

Manliner

Posted under Free for All & fashion & Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens & Arnold Schwarzenegger & Pete Wentz & Fall Out Boy & Ryan Seacrest

Men have worn makeup since the beginning of time, right? That’s old news. The mighty King Tut who reigned Ancient Egypt for over ten years wore pretty eye liner…even the men who performed in Shakespeare’s plays wore sissy-mary makeup. Oh, and let’s not forget major girly man (imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger saying that), King Louis XIV of France. The guy even had fancy wigs for heaven’s sake!

Bollywood Fashion

Posted under Free for All & fashion & Aishwarya Rai & Bollywood

America is so drab. We’re in love with the Little Black Dress. And we get really excited when we see stars on the red-carpet in jewel tones and ruffles. Indian self-expression, on the other hand, is much more rich and colorful. Sure, in some places custom dictates a little more coverage, but what they “lack” in skin, the women tend to make up for in gorgeous colors, accessories, jewels, head-wear, and fabrics.

Enter Bollywood - whose stars choose from a more colorfully exciting palette than what our celebs tend to go for here in the States.

Paris “Can Cans” Like a Parisian Prostitute

Posted under Free for All & fashion & Paris Hilton & Jessica Simpson & Mariah Carey

paris_hilton_can_can.jpg

Paris Hilton is no stranger to million-dollar indulgences, lots of publicity and the “smell” of success (because we’re assuming she defines success as having her face plastered throughout the tabloids and across TV screens). Now all these things are coming together for Paris’ latest endeavor - her perfume collection.

Her newest version of commercials - made to promote “Can Can” - cost $1 million, but money STILL can’t by class (ours or hers) - as her scent is named after a sexually explicit dance associated with Parisian club Moulin Rouge at the turn of the century. One news outlet even read more ....
