September 14th 2009 was a yet another sad day for the world of celebrity as the hunky Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze succumbs to the complications associated with pancreatic cancer.

It may only have been ten days since the death of Farrah Fawcett but that’s no reason why grieving Ryan O’Neal shouldn’t be getting on with is life with the living.

Just two months ago the world was subjected to the very public demise of England’s ‘accidental’ celebrity, Jade Goody as she shared with the nation, and the world, her road to death from cervical cancer and her last minute marriage to boyfriend Jack Tweed, on screen!

Speaking publicly for the first time, Ryan ONeal didn’t deliver a very encouraging prognosis for his long time partner, Farrah Fawcett, who has been battle cancer for the past 5 years.

With the revelation last week by her son Redmond ONeal, that Farrah Fawcett’s weight had plummeted to just 86lbs, it comes as no surprise that the health of the 62 year old former Charlie’s Angel  has taken a turn for the worse.

As friends and family, and in particular Love Story star, Ryan ONeal, gather at her bedside it is feared the star is losing her three year battle with cancer which has now spread to her liver.

When confronted with the likelihood of facing a long term behind bars, the son of Ryan ONeal and Farrah Fawcett, told a court in Los Angeles that his mother now weighed only 86lbs.

Probably taking a leaf out of the book of Jack Tweed, the late Jade Goody’s husband, Redmond ONeal, 24, was hoping that the fact that his mother is evidently in the final round of her fight with cancer, would help sway the judge in his consideration when sentencing ONeal.

After spending months avoiding the subject of illness and cancer, the former Charlie’s Angels star and ex wife of Ryan ONeal, is coming forward and announcing to the world that she is battling the disease, through a documentary.

Actress Farrah, 61, is to reveal how she is dealing with cancer in an upcoming documentary, “A Wing and a Prayer.” “She is cautiously optimistic,” her producer says.

There is little doubt that Fawcett is going through difficult times and now she is facing her problems publicly via our TV screens.
