Don Imus Makes a Poor Attempt at Sarcasm!

It was a rhetorical question that maybe radio host, Don Imus, would have been better off not asking that has once again landed him in hot water with the Reverend Al Sharpton and WABC and Citadel Broadcasting Corp.

Following his remarks back in 2007 while commenting on the Rutgers University women’s basketball team Imus was fired from his job only to be taken on a few months later by WABC at a substantially higher salary and with a much highlighted profile.

The Spice Girls!

What a momentous day! The ‘bad mouthing’ Don Imus is back on the air, hurricanes hit the North West of the USA, Hugo Chavez lost the vote for lifetime president of Chile and……as if cold, snowy, Monday mornings weren’t bad enough to cope with anyway, we wake up the earth-shattering news that The Spice Girl’s were miming or using backing tracks in the first concert of their worldwide reunion tour.

The five performed to a sell-out crowd in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday night.

What Do Santa Claus and Don Imus Have in Common?

Political correctness, that’s what!

Following the derogatory use of the word ‘ho’ by Don Imus earlier this year on his radio show, it would appear that an epidemic of political correctness has spread to the festive season for our friends down under (is that a derogatory phrase too?)

It’s a joke!

Residents of Sydney, Australia, are rebelling against attempts to ban Santa’s traditional greeting of “ho, ho, ho” in favor of “ha, ha, ha.”

Recruitment firm Westaff, has told its trainees that the “ho ho ho” phrase could be derogatory to women.
