September 14th 2009 was a yet another sad day for the world of celebrity as the hunky Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze succumbs to the complications associated with pancreatic cancer.

This year has seen the demise of so many iconic celebrity figures, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Bea Arthur, David Carradine, Ed McMahn, Dominick Dunne, Edward Kennedy, Carl Malden, Natasha Richardson, Walter Kronkite and of course the UK’s Wendy Richards and Jade Goody.

But for fans of Swayze it has all ended too soon, at the age of just 57.

Kung Foo actor David Carradine was found dead at his hotel room in the city of Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday and the cause of death, although still being investigated is believed to be suicide.

The 72 year old actor had begun his path to fame in Hollywood in the role of Shane in the movie of the same name back in 1966. His high profile as an accomplished actor was acknowledged as he filled the role of Kwai Chang Caine, a wanderer raised by Shaolin monks and who later become a martial arts master, in the TV series Kung Foo. read more ....
