With trembling hands and bounteous pride, the American Idol Season 7 runner-up introduced his very first single on syndicated radio program ‘Elvis Duran and the Morning Show’ in New York Friday.

“Crush,” which is off David Archuleta’s upcoming album, is a first-class R&B style love song that sweeps through you like a gentle breeze. Hitting every last note from beginning to end, the 17-year-old connected with listeners in more ways than one.

For those millions of fans out there who cried when 17-year-old David Archuleta became a “runner-up,” to winner David Cook, dry your eyes because this young man is just getting warmed up.

On top of hitting the road in July for the American Idols Live! Tour alongside his fellow contestants, the talented crooner is set to release a “major-label debut” later on this year, according to a post on the company’s website.  

Ecstatic doesn’t even begin to describe David’s current state!
