Another little lady from the green, green valleys of Wales may be in line to sing the theme tune to the next James Bond movie, currently in production.

Following in the footsteps of Welsh singer Shirley Bassey, who performed the theme songs to the James Bond films Goldfinger in 1964, followed by the Diamonds Are Forever theme in 1971, and then completing the first ever hatric of Bond themes with Moonraker’s theme in 1979, Bassey is the only singer to have recorded more than one James Bond theme song and now it looks as though 24 year old Duffy read more ....

Since Michelle Ryan hit the big time as Zoe Slater in the UK soap opera, Eastenders, she has been searching for another role that would see her hitting the dizzy heights of stardom once again.

From the opening theme tune to Quantum of Solace, written and performed by Jack White and Alicia Keys, to the chase scenes using every mode of transportation known to mankind, right up to the closing moment that sees the literally, stiff upper lipped, Bond walking arrogantly away from M, stating, ‘I never left’, the whole film lacked even a modicum of believability, intrigue or interest, with a story line as shallow as the damns created by the movie’s villain, Dominic Greene. Pull up the ladder, I’m okay! That seems to be the thought process behind Daniel Craig’s ridiculous suggestion that the next James Bond should be played by a black actor following the election of Barack Obama as US president.

 

So after Craig has had the ‘honour’ of being cast in the role for 2 consecutive Bond movies and has raked in a few million in the process, he thinks its okay to ruin the brand by introducing fans to a black 007.
