After receiving the news that Barack Obama had selected Joe Biden as his running mate for the 2008 Presidential elections, magnanimously, John Mcain and wife Cindy made a brief phone call to Biden congratulating him.

It had to be a brief phone call because following that tasty piece of news Cindy McCain felt so sure that her position as the next United States First lady had been secured, she just had to dash off quickly to The White House to measure up for soft furnishings!

One half of the very ‘presumptuous’ Obama family is certainly getting her 15 minutes of fame, and some!

No sooner did Barack Obama secure the nomination from Hillary Clinton for the Democratic candidacy in the Presidential elections 2008, than Mrs Obama is getting herself out in the public domain.

But once again, showing her demonstrative side she turned down the offer to be just a guest and insisted on being a co-host following in the footsteps of Cindy McCain, wife of Republican nominee John McCain, who co-hosted The View back in April.
