Friday saw the California Supreme Court ruling that the California Constitution now gives gays the lesbians the right to marry and who was there to pop the question first, Ellen DeGeneres. Yes, at the taping of her show she asked Portia de Rossi if she could have he hand in marriage. I bet Ellen is a big fan of at least one man now, the Mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom, who pushed the bill through.

Getting Hitched: Will Pete Wentz & Ashlee Say ‘I Do’ on Saturday??

“Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice.” Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, who have been happily engaged since April, are allegedly tying-the-knot this coming Saturday at a “top secret” spot.

According to a source associated with the couple, the festivities will kick off on Friday with an “intimate affair” rehearsal dinner for “family and close friends only.” And on the big day all those who are planning to attend “…will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location.”

Simpson’s rep refused to divulge much of anything when asked read more ....

Joe Simpson aka Ashlee’s father & manager has once again come up with a scheme to derive $$$ from his youngest offspring.

Since her older sister’s reality show - Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica - was such a smash, the former Baptist minister is planning to cash in with a Pete Wentz/Ashlee version.

“He knows that no one cared about Jessica before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect,” a family friend revealed to OK! Magazine.

Once again another Hollywood starlet’s engagement has given rise to speculation of her impending motherhood.

Ashlee Simpson, who has been dating Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz since late 2006 and announced her engagement in early April 2008 and now US Weekly and OK! are delivering some pretty convincing reports that there is truth in the rumours.

OK! and Us Weekly both cited unnamed sources close to the couple in their stories. OK!, which reports that the baby is due in October, offered as “proof” an account of Ashlee dealing with a “fierce bout of what appeared to be morning read more ....

“Anytime I’m wearing anything I’m probably borrowing it from my girlfriend.” Fall Out Boy pseudo punk Pete Wentz has a slightly irksome, off-the-wall addiction: women’s clothing and accessories.

The musician recently revealed to OK! Magazine that he enjoys rifling through Ashlee Simpson’s luscious closet as she apparently possesses an irresistible wardrobe.

On top of parading around in scarves and jackets and whatever else he fancies, Wentz has a soft spot for footwear: “I love Jessica Simpson’s stuff, especially the shoes,” he gushed. “I dance around my house in them all the time.” WTF?
