Sounds like the title of a B-rate movie but its what happened and its where it happened. A construction working employed by The Patriot star decided he’d had enough of life and hung himself at Mel’s house.

Fortunately Mel wasn’t home at the time. The Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call at 8:09 a.m. alerting them to a man hanging from the rafters. Obviously one construction worker with a brain cell noticed that wasn’t normal behaviour and put out the call.

The 47-year-old man has not been named and no details have been released.

Whatever anyone thinks about Mel Gibson, his personal life or his film making, he certainly has a knack for ‘type’ casting.

Gibson wants to film a remake of the 1928 movie La Passion de Jeanne d’Arc originally directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer and starring no one of any interest!

And Gibson is going to repeat that format by signing up Britney Spears as the long suffering Joan!

Two weeks after the sudden and sad death of Heath Ledger the New York Medical Examiner’s office has released the following statement, “Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine,” the office said in a statement.

“We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications.”

Heath Ledger, 28, renowned for his role as a gay cowboy in the 2005 movie Brokeback Mountain, was found dead in bed at his Manhattan apartment on January 22^nd 2008.

Although the press and the paparazzi have already begun their cruel speculation on the death of Australian born actor, Heath Ledger, following his death at his Lower Manhattan loft apartment on Tuesday, his friends in the movie business have nothing but praise for the man who rejected the limelight.

Mel Gibson said “I had such great hope for him. He was just taking off, and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss.” Heath played Mel’s son in The Patriot.

As celebrities packed up their precious belongings and flocked to the Four Seasons Hotel to escape raging wildfires, television shows had production disrupted.
