I tend to think celebs are slightly overpaid- until I realize that acting can take a terrible toll on your body and often a total life commitment - not just between the hours of nine and five.

One such case I’ve noticed recently is Matt Damon, who went from being in tip-top Hollywood hottie shape for his Bourne character, to gaining weight for his role in The Informant. Now, it looks like he might be trying to get back to Bourne status.

Isn’t it great when a heavy hitting super star like George Clooney actually gives us a chance to write about a magnanimous gesture on his part instead of his treatment of a broken hearted Las Vegas waitress.

Really?

This must have something to do with friends and former “sexiest men” launching a campaign for Damon to win top honors this year.

“You’ve given an aging suburban dad the ego-boost of a lifetime,” Damon, 37, told PEOPLE, explaining why he couldn’t possibly accept the crown.
