Johnny Depp Will be Mad Hatter

Posted under Free for All & Tim Burton & Johnny Depp

It’s about time. I’ve never thought that Alice in Wonderland was much of a kids’ movie, what with it’s mushrooms, opium, and all-around acid-trip feeling, as a kid it kind of freaked me out. Which is why as an adult I’ve been waiting for a more mature-themed movie version to come along. And here it is, with none other than Tim Burton directing and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. It’s a match made in acid-trip heaven!

When Burton committed to filming a new live-action/CG-animated version of “Alice,” Depp was thought to be the most likely candidate to play the read more ....

Heath Ledger’s Girls are Moving On

Posted under Free for All & Heath Ledger & Michelle Williams & Jude Law & Colin Farrell & Johnny Depp

Seems like Matilda and Michelle Williams are getting into a day-to-day routine - one that’s making both of them happier - since Heath Ledger’s death. Michelle has been spotted out with Spike Jonze and Matilda continues to be surrounded by the friends and family of her parents.
Not that moving on is ever easy, but it’s great to know Heath’s co-stars have the interest of his little girl at heart:  Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, the actors who took over Heath’s role in his final movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,  will be donating all their profits to read more ....

Kiss Me Kate: Kate Moss Snogged Frank Sinatra!

Posted under Free for All & Kate Moss & Pete Doherty & Johnny Depp & frank sinatra

 kiss me kate.jpg

Bit of insult for Johnny Depp, Pete Doherty and every other rough neck who has been on the receiving end of a lip-lock with Kate Moss, to discover that her most memorably kiss was with an old guy, with a deaf aid, toupee and quite possibly other replacement parts, Frank Sinatra!

sinatra kiss.jpg

At the age of 21 Moss met the old New York, New York, crooner at his 80th birthday party in 19965 and with just one kiss left her totally ‘lightheaded‘.

But by the time Moss had reached 30 it was revealed it was taking more than a kiss read more ....

Posted under Free for All & Tim Burton & Johnny Depp

Besides being offered the part of The Riddler in the forthcoming Dark Knight sequel, quirky thespian Johnny Depp has been asked to lend his talents to Tim Burton’s 3D retelling of Alice in Wonderland.

This is Plymouth reports that the first half of the 2010 film will be live action, up until the inattentive schoolgirl (played by In Treatment’s Mia Wasikowska) shoots down the legendary rabbit hole.

Johnny is said to slip into an oversized cap and bowtie for the role of the Mad Hatter; a zany and aggressive little fellow whom the star will surely do justice.

Johnny Depp to Succeed Heath Ledger? Its a Riddle!

Posted under Free for All & Heath Ledger & Jim Carrey & Johnny Depp

johnny depp 1.jpg

It was always obvious that the Batman movies wouldn’t end with the passing of Heath Ledger but he certainly left a huge pair of shoes to be filled following his performance as The Joker in The Dark Knight, which has seen the movie topping the box office ratings for two consecutive weeks taking $314 million in just 10 days and now there is talk of it challenging Titanic to become the biggest movie of all time. Titanic took $600 million in the US. The Dark Knight certainly looks set to reach second place in the all-time chart and beat read more ....

“Tasty Tidbit: 3 A-Listers Stepping in for Heath Ledger’s Final Role”

“Heath was in very high spirits. He was just enjoying himself tremendously. It’s a rather fanciful script, and he was wonderful in this role.” Although replacing Heath Ledger in the unfinished film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will be a challenging task, it’s an unavoidable decision that must be made.

People.com recently spoke with the BBC - more specifically Jude Law’s representative - who affirmed that the actor, along with Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell, will be taking over the part of Tony. Although the read more ....

Bankable Britney Spears and The State of The Union!

Posted under Free for All & Paris Hilton & Lindsay Lohan & Britney Spears & Will Smith & Johnny Depp

britney_spears 1.jpg = shiny dollars.jpg

With the usual rambling speech on live television last night which saw George W Bush basically reading from the same script he’s been reading from for the past 4 years, bleating on about the flagging economy and the State of The Union isn’t it time he looked at what we want, what we really, really want?

It seems that no matter how steep the price of a barrel of oil rises to or how the ups and downs of the ‘bulls and bears’ on the stock market effect read more ....

The great Cate

Well, Keira Knightley got snubbed, and, despite her brilliant turn as a plain Jane, so did Charlize Thereon, but the Academy has spoken…

Now let’s just cross our fingers that the studios and the writers can work it out before show time!

And the nominees for all the juicy awards are…

The Glamourless Golden Globes

Posted under Free for All & Angelina Jolie & Jodie Foster & Johnny Depp & Queen Latifa

Canceled!

And the winner of the Golden Globes 2008.….The Writer’s Union!

Well, despite the writer’s dispute The Golden Globe Awards went ahead but what a ‘pancake’ it turned out to be.

No glamour, no acceptance speeches, no tears and no ‘faux pas’ or upsets.

Although year after year we all sit on our cozy little sofas and judge the dresses, hair styles and speeches of the stars such as Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, Johnny Depp and Queen Latifa, what a welcome sight they would have been this year in comparison to the hard faced, over acting presenters who took to read more ....
