Its 45 years later and Paul McCartney is still right at the top in New York City and still stopping traffic, being mobbed by crowds and protected by the NYPD.

As Britain’s most famous musician, and export, took to the roof of the famous Ed Sullivan Theater on Manhattan’s Broadway it was as though the clock had been turned back to those heady days of Beatlemania, and Paul enjoyed it just as much as he did when he was a part of the Fab Four!

As one of only two remaining members of The Beatles, along with Ringo Starr, read more ....

Amanda Holden: Wish List or Bucket List?

Posted under Free for All & Paul McCartney & John Lennon & amanda holden

The 3,500 mile stretch of water between the United States of America and the United Kingdom, the Atlantic Ocean, was no match for the talents and teenage mania that hit the US back in 1963 when that now famous group, The Beatles landed at New York’s John F Kennedy airport amid the screams, faints and general mayhem that followed the fab four everywhere they went.

But back in those heady days of the great new music explosion there was another famous Liverpudlian who neither sought nor gained the fame and fortune of The Beatles in the US, although she read more ....

There can be few of us who dont remember sitting on the settee on a Friday night watching the snippey old retiree residents of Blanche Devereaux’s home in Miami in the much loved TV comedy, The Golden Girls, and, as with Sex and the City, choosing our favourite character.

the golden girls.jpg

But now the era of Dorothy Zbornak, her mother Sophia Petrillo, Rose Nylund and Blanche Devereaux has finally come to an end with the death of Bea Arthur over the weekend.

In much the same way as we would have loved have seen The Beatles reform, but the idea was read more ....

Paul McCartney: The ‘Lost’ Beatles Epic

Posted under Free for All & Paul McCartney & John Lennon & George Harrison & The Beatles & Yoko Ono & ringo star

 beatles 5.jpg

Can there be any other band who, with two of its members deceased, another one off the rector scale with arrogance and only one remaining member still mentally stable, alive and kicking, remain as high profile for more than 40 years, than The Beatles?

The answer is probably, no!

But once again, the fab four are set to be hurtled back into the spotlight as Paul McCartney reveals that, Carnival of Light, the track which was put together on 5th January 1967, in between working on the vocals for the song, Penny Lane, should now be released to the read more ....

“Winehouse & Various Artists Rock the Grammys”

Amy Winehouse set the Grammy Awards ablaze as she took to the stage – more accurately to the studio – in London in a black cocktail dress and a few strategically placed flowers. Shouting “My Blake!’ during a big band rendition of “You Know I’m No Good,” the songbird showed no signs of illness as she continued through her concert and finished up with the show-stopper “Rehab,” which awarded her the Record of the Year. “For my Blake incarcerated,” Winehouse dedicated in her acceptance speech after read more ....

Lyrics to Live By: Jennifer Lopez and John Lennon Lead the Way!

Posted under Free for All & Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony & John Lennon

Jennifer opez.jpg

Isn’t it easy when you don’t have to check your account balance to see how much you can withdraw from the ATM, to be able to write lyrics like, “Imagine no Possessions,” as John Lennon asked us to do in his hit single Imagine, or to tell the world you’re still “Jenny from the Block” and then immediately pop out to buy a $75,000 French antique crib ready for your baby’s arrival?

According to In Touch Weekly magazine Jennifer Lopez has done just that, so as she and Marc Anthony croon lullabies in the $1 million nursery they can admire read more ....

All Hail Princess Fergie

Posted under Free for All & Madonna & Princess Diana & Celine Dion & John Lennon & Fergie

fergie 1.jpg princess diana.jpg

Spot the difference!

Remember when John Lennon likened The Beatles to Jesus Christ? Well we have another delusional celebrity in our midst. Fergie has likened herself, her artistic skills and her public appeal to that of a real life princess, Princess Diana.

Fergie should be aware that there are a few others ahead of her in the queue for the status of ‘pop royalty’, maybe Madonna, Celine Dion or even Barbra Streisand, but for Fergie, its early days to be picking out her tiara!

Fergie feels she makes the same connection to ‘her public’ that Diana read more ....

Posted under Free for All & celebrities & music & Elton John & John Lennon & Boy George & Joss Stone

joss stone big.jpgI’ve got a right to be wrong!Britain’s soulful young singer Joss Stone is breaking her heart after the rejection she has experienced from fans in her home country. After moving her life, her hair, her accent and her music to the USA she has discovered that the Brits don’t want her anymore and Stone puts it down to anything but the fact that her third album is nowhere near as appealing as her first two and expresses her thoughts on the rejection as being, “maybe it’s because I dye my hair, maybe it’s because my accent is messed up.”

Lennon’s ‘Free as a Bird’

Posted under Free for All & Paul McCartney & John Lennon & George Harrison & Ringo Starr

Thats my dad, just above her a***!

John Lennon may have sung about a ‘blackbird singing in the dead of night’ but he’s apparently chosen to make his return from the after life with the dropped feather of a white bird, and in the Australian outback, according to reports in the UK’s Daily Express newspaper.

Son of John and Yoko Ono, Julian Lennon, was recently shooting a new film in Australia when he agreed to take part in an ancient ceremony with an Aboriginal tribe and was left speechless when he was handed a white feather by a tribe elder, read more ....
