Russian to Their Own Defense: Harrison Ford Slaps a Commie Soldier

Posted under Free for All & Cate Blanchett & Harrison Ford & Mike Myers

Point at me and I’ll slap your face!

Oh dear! The Ruski’s are in fighting spirit, once again, and this time its not a cold war, its extremely hot!

The Russians are all up in arms at the site of an American hero, (albeit in the movies) slapping the face of a Russian soldier so now members of Russia’s Communist Party are calling for a nationwide boycott of the new Indiana Jones movie, saying it aims to undermine communist ideology and distort history.

Its appears they cant let go of a time when they believed they were the superior read more ....

The great Cate

Well, Keira Knightley got snubbed, and, despite her brilliant turn as a plain Jane, so did Charlize Thereon, but the Academy has spoken…

Now let’s just cross our fingers that the studios and the writers can work it out before show time!

And the nominees for all the juicy awards are…

Will We Be Deprived of the Golden Globes Due to Pesky Writers?

Posted under Free for All & Reese Witherspoon & Sienna Miller & Angelina Jolie & Keira Knightly & George Clooney & Rumer Willis & Cate Blanchett & Johnny Depp & Cameron Diaz & Tom Hanks

Could it be possible that we may actually not get to watch the creme de la creme of Hollywood elite congratulate each other for being so darn special? All thanks to a bunch of pesky writers who actually think they should get PAID for their work?

Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Sienna Miller last year on the red carpet (dig those braids Sienna!)

Unless someone comes up with a solution at the 11th hour, it’s hard to imagine any of the high-wattage nominees crossing an actual picket line in their most glamorous finery. That’s just such a party foul.

Yuddy Paints the Town: I’m Not There Concert

Posted under Free for All & Heath Ledger & Cate Blanchett & Bob Dylan & Christian Bale

Jack Nicholson may be furious with Heath Ledger for stealing his role in the new Batman movie, but we just have one thing to say to Heath… “Take out your gum, man!”

The dashingly disheveled actor was on hand the other night at the fabulous I’m Not There Bob Dylan tribute concert in NYC, sporting his trademark I’m-scruffy-but-cute look as he introduced a few of the acts. Someone must have told him about his snapping gum reverberating throughout the Beacon theater after his first appearance - the second time we got a glimpse of him he seemed to have spit read more ....

Yuddy on the Town: “I’m Not There” Bob Dylan Celebration Benefit Concert

Posted under Free for All & music & events & Heath Ledger & Richard Gere & Cate Blanchett & Bob Dylan & Christian Bale

We’re so there!

The upcoming Bob Dylan film I’m Not There promised to be amazing — the buzz is that Cate Blanchett’s an Oscar shoe-in (what’s new?) for her portrayal of the man behind The Tambourine Man. The great Cate of course is joined on-screen by Christian Bale, Richard Gere, and Heath Ledger, among others — all portraying the legendary singer-songwriter.

Since we just can’t wait until the movie hits the big screen we’re excited about an awesome concert in NYC next week- I’m Not There: In Concert. A host of our time’s greatest artists will perform Dylan’s music. The read more ....

Cate Blanchette has an Attack of Wind

Posted under Free for All & Clive Owen & Cate Blanchett

Cate and Clive.jpg

It was not only Elizabeth I who had a ‘hurricane in her’ but the leading lady in the movie of the same name. Cate Blanchett has revealed to FemaileFirst.co.uk that she also has a hurricane in her at the mere mention of Clive Owen’s name.

Cate has been all ‘wobbly at the knees’ for her new leading man, Clive, since seeing him in the 2001 movie, Gosford Park, in which Owen landed the role of Lord Stockbridge’s valet.

When the opportunity arrived to play romantically opposite Clive, as Sir Walter Raleigh, Cate’s reaction was very obvious when she said: “I read more ....
