Though Canadian pop-rocker Avril Lavigne isn’t sick of singing, she is “…ready to try out some other stuff.”

The “stuff,” which she so succinctly put it, is the art of acting. Before breaking out in 2002 with her aggravated tween-anthem “Complicated,” Lavigne had theatrical aspirations up the yin yang which started at a very early age.

“When I was younger I did some theatre at school and I really loved it,” she said last year in an interview for Girl.com.au. “But my singing career took off and I’ve been focusing on that for about five years now…”

Singer/actress Miley Cyrus is growing up fast…maybe too fast.

On Tuesday the 15-year-old star dropped her new single “7 Things,” a song about a particularly distressing breakup, which debuted on radio program Elvis Duran and the Morning Zoo.

Cyrus sounds like a slightly-more conventional version of Avril Lavigne as she runs through a list of every irritating aspect of her ex BF: “You’re vain, your games, you’re insecure, you love me, you like her, you make me laugh you make me cry…and the 7^th thing I hate the most that you do, you make me love you.”

“When You’re Gone” singer Avril Lavigne is truly testing the patience of her adoring tween audience by scrapping one Pop/Punk show after another, reports People.com.  

Ticket holders in San Diego and Phoenix were the first to bear the brunt of the hasty decision last week, and on Saturday the French-Canadian idol revealed her plans to postpone 6 more gigs.

“My sincerest apologies to all of my fans,” Lavigne declared in a statement released Saturday. “My intention was to complete the rest of the tour, but tonight at sound check in Anaheim I realized this wasn’t possible.”

Pop-rocker Avril Lavigne is in hot water after allegedly failing to pay her backing dancers the standard industry rate. � A tug-of-war commenced when a U.S organization known as the Dancers’ Alliance urged participants to boycott Tuesday’s tryouts for the singer’s upcoming May tour, reports Digitalspy.com.
