A red carpet event, the Alma Awards, were underway last night, with host Eva Longoria announcing the winners of the awards, and making a bunch of costume changes, too.

The Latino honors won’t be available for your viewing pleasure until September 12th on ABC. Does that seem weird to anyone, especially since the winners were revealed to the public - seems like they’re not creating much incentive for viewers to tune in!

Either way, some big names lit up the red carpet: Jessica Alba was there, sans-Cash, but other couples made an appearance. Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale were on read more ....

Tom Cruise and his gals hit up NYC this weekend, while Katie was rehearsing for her role in All My Sons. With her Broadway debut ahead, we’re certain to be seeing more of the family in the Big Apple.

On Friday, the couple  met up with Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor and their daughter Ella for dinner at Nobu, perhaps to enjoy some of the success of their latest movie, Tropic Thunder.

Seems like Matilda and Michelle Williams are getting into a day-to-day routine - one that’s making both of them happier - since Heath Ledger’s death. Michelle has been spotted out with Spike Jonze and Matilda continues to be surrounded by the friends and family of her parents.
Not that moving on is ever easy, but it’s great to know Heath’s co-stars have the interest of his little girl at heart:  Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, the actors who took over Heath’s role in his final movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,  will be donating all their profits to read more ....

Bit of insult for Johnny Depp, Pete Doherty and every other rough neck who has been on the receiving end of a lip-lock with Kate Moss, to discover that her most memorably kiss was with an old guy, with a deaf aid, toupee and quite possibly other replacement parts, Frank Sinatra!

At the age of 21 Moss met the old New York, New York, crooner at his 80^th birthday party in 19965 and with just one kiss left her totally ‘lightheaded‘.

So now its time for John Mayer to tell, what he sees is his side of the story about his break up with Friends star, Jennifer Aniston.

In an attempt to create a feeling of deep regret and sorrow that he just couldn’t make a commitment to Aniston , Mayer told reporters in New York, ‘There’s no lying, there’s no cheating, there’s no nothing. People are different, people have different chemistry. I ended a relationship because I don’t want to waste somebody’s time if something’s not right.

Kind of. More like - crazy Hills character Audrina Patridge will be living on, on the new fall sitcom, Do Not Distrub. She won’t be appearing as herself, but rather making guest appearances on the show - and honestly, it sounds none too glamorous. She stated on her webside:
“I will be playing a guest checking into the hotel and I am going to film my scenes sometime next week! I think Jerry OConnell is hysterical (have you guys seen his video on that website Funny or Die?) and I can’t wait to meet Niecy [Nash]!”

As if organizing a heterosexual wedding doesn’t present problems enough, getting it together for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi must really create problems.

Firstly, who wears the wedding dress and who wears the tux?

Who gives the bride away and does the groom also need ‘giving away?’

Who’s hand is on the top when cutting the cake?

I now pronounce you, wife and wife?

When the guests arrive at the venue, do you ask, are you with the bride or the…..um, bride?

But all that hasn’t dissuaded the happy couple from planning what will almost certainly be ‘the read more ....

Big week for Ms. Spears - first her flattering OK! cover, now news that - in spite of what EVERYONE deemed a horrific performance at last years’ MTV VMAs - the star is getting another chance to be crowned pop’s princess by the same network.

Nominations were released, and the rebounding singer is nominated for video of the year for “Piece of Me.” If any of her videos should get the nom, it would be that one, where she proved she can poke fun at herself in a round about way.  Other nominees included the Jonas Brothers for “Burnin Up,” read more ....

It’s been two years, but studio execs are deciding, Paris Hilton didn’t do enough pledging for a 2006 sorority comedy. 

The lawsuit - filed by Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc.in Miami - says the 27-year-old model-actress-heiress owes $75,000 in damages for not fulfilling promotional obligations. We wonder how they were able to turn missed publicity opportunities into a monetary figure. Hilton became attached to the production and distribution of the movie “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!,” in 2004, according to the lawsuit. Hilton starred in the film and received credit as an executive producer - for which the company apparently paid $1 million read more ....
