Politicians are the new celebrities. At least until November. Barbra Streisand may have performed at Barack Obama’s most recent fundraiser and stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Ferrell may have been in attendance but all eyes seem to be on those running for office.

They’ve been taking over primetime TV and even pushing A-listers off covers of magazines. Sarah Palin, for example, gave her first interview to People magazine, and the same tabloid rated Michelle Obama eighth best dressed.

Barbra Streisand will be the last star to be honored at the Kennedy Center - which includes a reception at the White House - during George W Bush’s Presidency. This could cause an awkward situation, given Streisand’s noted, outspoken Democratic stance.

And as if that weren’t enough, their potential meeting comes less than two months after Streisand’s stepson, Josh Brolin, hits theaters playing Bush in the Oliver Stone-directed biopic “W.”

And they’re off! The fight for which celebrity gets what Presidential candidate is in full swing. We all know that Oprah Winfrey is siding with Barack Obama but guess who’s endorsing Hillary Clinton? None other than the one…the only…Barbra Streisand?!
