Yes her 2007 Video Music Awards performance was a tad sloppy, but as the president of MTV Networks Music Group put it - “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?”

The Associated Press, who spoke with Van Toffler via telephone on Friday, raised the question of whether or not Miss Spears would be making a second appearance at this year’s sizzling celebration. After receiving the relatively optimistic response above, the news outlet asked Toffler if he was merely joking, to which he ambiguously replied “sorta.”

“Who knows?” The head honcho stated.  

According to OK! Magazine, producers and crew members have already begun the brainstorming process for the ’08 VMAs - that will broadcast live from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles come September 7^th.

The main issue at the moment? Trying to figure out a way to outshine Britney’s alleged pill-induced routine, which attracted 7.1 million viewers and quickly became just about the biggest conversation starter of 2007.

 “I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show,” Toffler pondered. “We are working on it every minute of every day.”

Technically, if Spears were interested, she would have almost 3 months to come up with a fabulous presentation for the awards ceremony.

Think she can manage?
