Heir to the throne William and socialite Kate Middleton have recently rekindled their flame…and now they’re off to Scotland’s Balmoral Castle, the private residence of the 81 year-old queen Elizabeth. Sounds like grandma really knows how to take a load off.

Middleton, 25, has been asked to spend an October weekend weekend with William’s claim to fame, the queen.

“Meeting with the queen means one thing: a talk about possibly becoming William’s wife,” sources say.

Since the star-crossed lovers have gotten back together this past summer (they broke it off in April), it seems like it’s been nothing but a race to the altar.

“She (Middleton) needs to pack a crazy amount of clothes: an outift for lunch, one for dinner, clothes for the evening, casual wear for the day,” an insider reveals to Hot Stuff. Okay, I pack more than that for a weekend away in the mountains!

She will also have to follow myriad rules, “like curtsying whenever she sees the queen — even if she has already seen her that day.” Jeeze Louise, how will she ever get through the strenuous weekend? It sounds like a tough life the royal kind lead.

“Kate’s freaking out,” sources say.

Well, she should put it into perspective… it’s just meeting the family of the man you want to spend the rest of your life with for the first time… then you get over it and move on with your relationship!
