Posted under Free for All & Michael Jackson & Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor

It seems that following the death of close friend Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor wasn’t just waxing poetical when she said her heart was broken now he’d gone, and how she didn’t know how she could go on without him in her life, as now, that 77 year old heart, is requiring surgery.
The Cleopatra star, who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure five years ago, has now revealed that she is to have a period of time in hospital where she will undergo surgery.

For a lady of her age its amazing that Miss Taylor actually uses Twitter to make the announcement, but that’s exactly what she did today, when she stated, “Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart. It’s very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better. Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I’ll let you know when it’s all over. Love you, Elizabeth.
Over the past few years the former wife of Hollywood star Richard Burton, who died in August 1984, has been dogged with heart issues, severe back problems and a benign brain tumor on which she under went an operation.
Following the memorial service for Michael Jackson at the Great Mausoleum in Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn cemetery, Elizabeth apparently expressed an interest in finding her own plot close to her beloved Michael where she said, ‘I felt a sense of peace there that I’ve never experienced before.’

Tears for Michael Jackson
After receiving the news of Jackson’s sudden death on June 25th 2009, Taylor showed her grief at the loss of her friend, saying, her life was empty without him, “”I loved Michael with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him. He will live in my heart forever but it’s not enough. My life feels so empty. I don’t think anyone knew how much we loved each other.”
