Being down to one’s last £1 million is hardly a reason for worrying unless of course you began with more than £10 million just 12 months ago. But that seems to be the position troubled singer Amy Winehouse now finds herself in as she spent the huge revenue from the sales of her album, Back to Black on her lavish lifestyle and now finds herself heading for a red bottom line!

And when we say lavish, there’s not Lamborghinis, fancy mansions and endless racks of designer clothes in Winehouse‘s life, just an expensive drug and drink habit and six months of hanging out on the sun drenched beaches of the tropical Caribbean island of St Lucia, with no sign of work on the blue horizon!

Although the Rehab singer handed the control of her finances over to her father Mitch at the start of 2009, it now appears that his handling of her financial affairs has been less fiscally sound than Amy’s own monetary savvy!

According to the Daily Star, new accounts show that Winehouse’s bank balance plummeted from £10m to £1m mainly due to her partying lifestyle and her unwillingness to regroup and begin work on a new album and on a world tour.

And now with rumours of Winehouse recently reuniting with her ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, it seems there is little hope of her returning to either the recording studio or on the road with a string of concerts!
