Pink for a little girl….and also for an aging rock star!

That’s the look that Britain’s 68 year old Sir Cliff Richard has gone for as he opens on the first night of what is billed as the final tour by Sir Cliff and the Shadows, Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennett, which began on Saturday night with a show in Killarney, Southern Ireland.

And almost as though time had stood still since those early heady days of the original Bachelor Boy and his backing group, Cliff changed from pink to a spangled black jacket and on to a white number complete with a gold shirt and silver shoes.

Still remaining The Young Ones, Cliff and The Shadows wooed the audience on the first of their 22 date tour of the UK and Ireland, which will be followed by another 14 across Europe to mark 50 years since they first worked together.

The tour then moves on to Australia and New Zealand.
