Since reporting yesterday that Nicole Richie had checked into a Los Angeles hospital over the Labor Day weekend a little bird has now revealed that the socialite and her boyfriend Joel Madden, have something to crow about. Like the cat that swallowed the bird the couple have announced that 27 year old Nicole has added another little bird to the nest and they’ve named him, Sparrow, yes, Sparrow!

The baby weighed in at a bantam weight at just 7lbs 14oz on the 9.9.9 and, like his sister before him, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, Sparrow also has a string of names, Sparrow James Winter Madden.

With a long time partner, and now two children, the daughter of Lionel Richie, has moved her life on from the young woman who partied hard with Paris Hilton and at one time was arrested for driving under the influence on her way home from Madden’s home in LA, after which she was ordered to serve four days in jail, but only ended up spending 82 minutes behind bars due to overcrowding.

And so, she never really could have been labeled, a jail BIRD!
