Would you trust a man like George Clooney?

It strikes terror in the heart of any woman who has experienced a playboy cad in her life and didn’t see the train wreck coming until it was too late. All the introductions to the family, friends and workmates leads a woman to believe she could be the one to tame this wild animal, but all too soon she finds herself dumped.

Is that what fate has on the cards for Clooney’s latest trophy girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis?

As sure as the Emmy’s, Oscars and the Venice Film festival come around annually, so do Clooney’s girlfriends.

Two years ago we were treated to the spectacle of the Ocean’s Eleven star exhibiting his Las Vegas cocktail waitress Sarah Larson, both complete with bandages and Band-Aids following a motorbike accident the pair were involved in while riding at Weehawken, New Jersey.

Last year the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood was seen showing off 2008’s model, Argentinian actress Lola Ponce at the film festival.

George didn’t have far to travel to the festival from his lakeside holiday home in Italy which nestles on the banks of Lake Como.

Looking at the photos of the three years it appears Clooney has a format he follows and the answers to the media’s questions remain the same.

When asked if he is looking to settle down and have children anytime soon, Clooney’s reply was as carbon copied as his women and their fate, ‘I have been asked that question every year for 20 years. The answer remains the same - I don’t know.’

Time to lift that hem line and run for the hills Ms Canalis!
