Is Natalie Imbruglia’s Career Going Further South Than Australia?

Posted under Free for All & Natalie Imbruglia & Kylie Minogue & Prince Harry

We knew her as, Beth Willis, back in the 1980’s and the beautiful new comer to Ramsey Street in the Australian soap opera, Neighbours, and later as Lorna Campbell in the UK comedy starring Rowan Atkinson, Johnny English. With her acting career well underway and a number one hit, Torn, it seemed that Natalie Imbruglia’s career was set for definite stardom, but somewhere along the way she evidently lost her fan base and her ability to stay on top.

Now, friends of Natalie are concerned that with her hunger for attention which has seen her posing with the children of Richard Burton, recently kissing the UK’s Prince Harry at a concert and dating Little Britain star David Walliams, she may be on the slippery slope to obscurity and her actions maybe costing the occasional actress some long-time friends.

With Imbruglia’s attempts at creating a more high profile, she hoped to be recognized in the same vain as fellow Australian singer and actress, Kylie Minogue. But following her split with husband Daniel Johns of the Silverchair fame, friends have commented, “She’s leaping from boyfriend to boyfriend as each brings with it a few pars in the press. There’s a madness to her behaviour.”

Not helping the 34-year-old Natalie to deal with her waning stardom are the brutal critiques she’s receiving for her latest musical offering, Wild About It, and the rising profile of ex husband, Johns’s new girlfriend Louise Van Der Vorst

The 20-year-old model has been Johns’s constant companion in recent years and is currently being hotly pursued to sign a lucrative contract with New York’s Elite Model Agency.

In 2002 Natalie was also dropped from her role as spokesmodel for cosmetics giant L’Oreal after she signed a $200,000 deal in early 2002 to appear in TV and print advertisements for the beauty company, who’s slogan is “Because I’m worth it.” But clearly even as early as 2002 Natalie was being viewed as ‘not worth it’ as she left the company in search of a more lucrative deal, which to date has not been forth coming.

What is they say about a bird in the hand, and pigs get slaughtered???
