We’ve seen Charlie’s Angels, Sex and the City, The X Files, Star Trek and now it looks like Baywatch is about to make its way to the big screen, and the added attraction in this ‘series to screen’ transformation will definitely be the cameo appearance by one of its original stars, the now 42 year old Pamela Anderson.

Although, as rumour has it, the new Baywatch movie will be a comedy, (who thought it wasn’t the first time around?) and the UK’s  Sun newspaper reports that another original star David Hasselhoff, 56, is “100 per cent on board” and will clear his schedule for a high-profile cameo role.

Along with Anderson and Hasselhoff its also reported that Erika Eleniak, 39, and Yasmine Bleeth, 41, are also desperate for a spot in the movie.

The original cast will all now be too old to play their original characters, life guards on a beach in Los Angeles, but David is said to be happy with playing the role of father to his original character.

As for the new lifeguards, Shia LaBeouf, Robert Pattinson and Chris Pine are said to be in the running for the role of Mitch and Megan Fox has been tipped for the role of CJ Parker, formerly played by Anderson.

At its peak, Baywatch attracted an audience of 1.1 billion and now, the movie, reported to be produced by Paramount Pictures, will be hoping for equally successful viewing figures at the box office!
