As much as we’d like to believe the promo photo of Twiggy as she once again becomes the face of Olay, it’s so obvious that it’s been airbrushed. For heaven’s sake the woman is 60 years old and looks younger than Miley Cyrus!

Twiggy became a fashion icon way back in the 1960’s after being spotted by fashion and modeling guru Nigel Davies in 1966, at the tender age of 16, and if anyone is truthful, began the epidemic of anorexia in young woman. After all, Leslie Hornby, as she was known before that period in her life, gained the name Twiggy, based on her stick thin figure.

So although it’s great to see that the, ‘Face of 1966’ (which incidentally is the last time England won the World Cup) has once again accepted the offer of a 12 month stint as the spokesperson for the ad campaign for Olay Definity, which is being sold as the brands anti-aging cream, we’re not totally convinced either that Twiggy really looks like a 25 year old or that Olay Definity really is anti-aging.

Take a look at the following ladies of Hollywood who would also have us believe they still look the same as they did 25 years ago, until they are caught without their make up and a whole lot of air brushing, and take comfort in the reality of aging. Although it may slow down the process of wrinkling, sagging skin and the signs of aging, the process cant be stopped with a pretty pink packaged bottle of cream!
