Finally recognizing our real position in the food chain, are we?

Snooty times 10 actress Katherine Heigl - who actually said something nice for once regarding her unlucky colleagues in March - is allegedly sticking it out with the friendly faces of Grey’s Anatomy.

This may come as a surprise to some, seeing as Heigl thumbed her nose at the people behind the scenes on numerous occasions, but we know what’s really causing her to come back for more: The falling through of a potential project.

Last month the pretty blonde with a permanent stick up her bum was dropped from the impending romantic comedy Valentine’s Day.

Why?

Oh just the little matter of her zany payday demand — $3 million!

While Katherine is used to raking in the big bucks, the producers refused to hand over the dosh since there is no main character in the flick. The other A-Listers include Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts and Bradley Cooper, none of which requested such a ludicris amount of pay.

Obviously Heigl’s rep attempted to clear her name by stating that the story was fabricated, and that the star walked away from the film for “multiple reasons.”

Yeah, one being her dwindling bank account!

So there you have it. Heigl is set to appear in the sixth season of Grey’s so says a little bird, because, well, how else is she going to bring home the bacon?
