Finding little to no work in Hollywood these days, Jessica my-looks-are-a-problem Biel is following in Katie Holmes’ footsteps by giving musical theatre a go.

The actress recently tried out for a production of Guys and Dolls, and thoroughly impressed the show’s producers.

“I literally walked in and said, ‘I can do this song but we’re going to have to drop it down a few notes,’” she relayed to People. “Actually, I did pretty well and I got the part of Sandy, which I’ll be performing later this summer.”

After her performances at the Hollywood Bowl are complete, Biel says she’d be interested in hooking up with main-squeeze Justin Timberlake on the silver screen if and when the right project comes along!

Sounds like a hot ticket, but whatever happened with that in-the-works album we heard about?
