How refreshing to see a real talent, beauty and dignified Brit taking the top position in this year’s FHM World’s Sexiest Woman list. With all whinging and self importance of another footballer’s wife, Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Cole has shown us all that celebrity doesn’t have to make a girl pout, teeter around on 5 inch heels and bemoan her fate to anyone who will listen.

This year has seen Cheryl, of Girls Aloud fame guesting as a judge on X Factor, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, making her name in the world of designer fashion and gracing the cover of Vogue magazine, and all while attempting to keep her marriage to UK soccer player, as Ashley Cole.

Unlike so many of her peers, who clamber to be perminently in the public eye with their failing relationships, Cheryl has behaved with dignity throughout and evidently that has paid off with her new title.

The 25 year old Newcastle, UK born beauty was accompanied by 2 other Brits on this years list which also included in the top 10,  last years winner, Megan Fox, Jessica Alba, Britney Spears, Keeley Hazell, (UK) Adriana Lima, Elisha Cuthbert, Kristin Kreuk, Anna Friel, (UK) and Slumdog Millionaire actress, Freida Pinto.
 
Almost ten million votes were cast by FHM readers worldwide for the poll but their selection failed to include, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez and Kimberly Stewart.
