Moving further and further away from her wild partying days, Nicole Richie has announced that she is pregnant again with her second child.

Nicole, 27, who is the mother of a baby daughter, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who was born 13 months ago, is the long term partner of Good Charlotte band member, Joel Madden.

The couple released the news of their new baby through Joel’s website where he stated, ‘What’s better than winning an Oscar? I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope you’re all feeling as good as I am right now.”

Nicole, first found fame when she starred with Paris Hilton in the reality show, The Simple Life, a popular TV series which was broadcast from December 2003 until Augst 2007. With a somewhat comedic aspect to the show it depicted the two wealthy young socialites, Hilton and Richie, as they struggle to do manual, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, performing tasks around the farm, serving meals in fast-food restaurants & working as camp counselors.

Joel, who is the twin brother of Benji Madden, of Hilton fame, seems to have tamed the once wild girl of Hollywood and between them have brought a new role to the life of Nicole’s father, Lionel Richie, who will be a grandfather for the second time later this year.
